Strain Origin

The stunning Southeast Asian nation of Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, is where this variety was originally discovered. It was discovered developing on water buffalo manure outside of Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon. It turned out that the student who made the discovery was actually a young mycologist from Thailand, not Myanmar.

Difficulty

People say that working with and studying the Burmese strain is not too difficult. In relation to Mazatapec, Golden Teacher, or Albino A+, it is comparable.

Spore Features

Sub-ellipsoid, dark purple to brownish spores on 4-spored basidia. Spores further demonstrate that Albino A+ is leucistic, since true albino mushrooms are pigment-free throughout, even the spores. The heavy spore-producing Albino A+ strain is ideal for study.
